Naveen Chaubal
director
Naveen Chaubal is a Louisville based director, producer and cinematographer. He’s a fellow of Film Independent's Project: Involve and Fast Track programs. His short film “Pinball” screened at the DGA, Speed Art Museum, Montana International Film Festival, KC Film Fest and premiered online on NoBudge, where it won Audience Choice. He co-produced and co-shot Tomorrow We Disappear, a feature documentary that premiered at Tribeca, where it was named “Best of the Fest” by the Wall Street Journal. It also screened at Hot Docs and CPH:DOX. Naveen has worked for AJ+, Vice News, and Bon Appetit, and has produced music videos for James Blake, Vince Staples and Frank Ocean. Naveen’s work has been supported by ITVS, the Southern Documentary Fund, New Orleans Film Society, and Louisville Visual Art.

Bryn Silverman
producer/writer
Bryn produced and edited Pinball the short film and has been on the journey with Naveen and Yosef in Louisville from the beginning. She was a story producer on Amend: The Fight for America, a six part Netflix documentary series about the impact of the 14th Amendment. She post-produced and edited a DACA PSA “Are you afraid of Monsters?,” which was honored at the Webby’s in the category “best film - public service & activism.” Bryn is an Associate Programmer for Tribeca. She was a Southern Producer’s Lab fellow with the New Orleans Film Society in 2020 and 2021.

Faisal Azam
executive producer
Faisal is an award-winning film editor and screenwriter best known for the Oscar-nominated documentary short St. Louis Superman; Brooklyn Film Festival Grand Prize Winner Without Shepherds; and Salar, which won Best Dramatic Short at the Austin Film Festival and was shortlisted for an Academy Award. In 2016, Faisal co-wrote H8, which was a top-ten finalist in numerous national competitions and a winner in WeScreenplay's 2018 TV pilot contest. His work has been featured at Sundance, Tribeca, Clermont-Ferrand, Big Sky, Palm Springs, Slamdance, and BFI London. Faisal serves as an Emmy Awards judge.

Darcy McKinnon
consulting producer
Darcy is a documentary filmmaker based in New Orleans. McKinnon’s recent work includes Look at Me! XXXTENTACION (dir. Sabaah Folayan, 2022) and The Neutral Ground (dir. CJ Hunt, 2021). McKinnon is currently in production on Nailah Jefferson’s Commuted, Katie Mathews’ Roleplay, and Jason Fitzroy Jeffers’ The First Plantation among others. Her prior work, A Fine Girl, Animals, Maquilapolis and Live Nude Girls, UNITE! has screened and been broadcast internationally, and has been supported by SFFILM, CAAM, Chicken and Egg, Firelight Media, ITVS, Black Public Media, Sundance Institute and the Tribeca Film Institute. Darcy is an alum of the Impact Partners Producing Fellowship, the Sundance Institute Creative Producing Fellowship, and one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 2020 25 new faces in independent film.

Will Epstein
composer
Will is a composer, recording artist and multi-instrumentalist born in New York City. He has performed internationally, released records of songs under his High Water moniker, and composed music for film, installation and dance performance. In addition to recently completing the score for the HBO documentary Baby God, Will has worked with the dance company Gallim on major pieces at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Joyce Theater and Jacob’s Pillow as well as collaborating on projects with renowned artists such as Marilyn Minter and Laurie Simmons. He is a regular fixture in New York’s improvised music scene and has released multiple collections of work with the independent label Other People.
